Start with a Practice Visibility Review.

Before any engagement, every practice gets the same starting point — a free, written report covering where you stand online. Useful even if you decide not to work with me.

What’s in the report
  • Google Business Profile and local search audit
  • Website trust and first-impression review
  • Patient review presence and reputation check
  • HPCSA-aware advertising risk check on existing content
  • POPIA exposure check on how you capture patient data
Common problems

Where most practices lose visibility.

Five patterns I see in nearly every practice I review. None of them are the practitioner's fault. All of them are fixable.

01
You are excellent, but invisible online.
Most patients in your area cannot find you when they search. The ones who do, find you by accident.
02
Your diary depends on referrals alone.
Referrals are a foundation, not a strategy. When a referrer retires or networks shift, the line goes quiet.
03
Social media has become a second job.
Most clinicians did not train for a decade to spend Sunday evenings making Instagram posts.
04
You stay silent because of the rules.
Most practices are simply never shown how to communicate professionally within the guidelines. There is more room than clinicians realise.
05
Missed appointments quietly disrupt the month.
A consistent reminder and follow-up system can help reduce no-shows and missed opportunities. Most practices have never had one set up properly.
Outcomes

Practical outcomes for your practice.

The four things every private practice needs digital infrastructure to deliver: visibility, trust, retention, and oversight.

01

Found when patients are searching.

Showing up on Google and Google Business Profile when patients in your area are already looking for a practitioner like you.

02

A reputation that brings the right patients in.

A consistent review request process, a professional online presence, and the trust signals that turn first impressions into bookings.

03

Hours back in your week.

I run the digital presence so you can run the practice. Patient reminders, listings, reviews, and reporting, handled in the background.

04

A practice that keeps moving when you are busy.

Missed calls, follow-ups, reminders and reviews handled quietly in the background — so the practice keeps running smoothly

Capabilities

What I cover.

From Google Business Profile and reviews to patient follow-up systems, paid search, and a website that holds up. Everything a private practice needs as one coordinated programme.

+

Online Reputation

Patient reviews, your Google Business Profile, and the small set of listings that decide whether patients trust the practice before they call.
+

Paid Search & Ads

More of the right patient enquiries from Google and Meta — focused on your suburb, your services, and the people most likely to book.
+

Content & Social

Professional, compliant content that keeps the practice visible without becoming another full-time job.
+

Patient Follow-up Systems

Appointment reminders, follow-ups, review requests, and enquiry handling that quietly take admin pressure off the practice.
+

Website Design

Fast, clear websites built around how patients actually search, compare, and book — not how marketers think they should.
Approach

Built on decades inside healthcare.

A digital growth consultancy for South African private practice. Human-in-the-loop systems. Compliance-aware by default. Calm in the background.

Founder · NICOLAI

I have spent two decades inside South African healthcare — pharmaceutical, medical devices, and specialist private practice marketing. I understand how private practices actually operate, what the HPCSA expects, and the damage a careless sentence can do in front of patients.

You shouldn’t have to teach your marketer how healthcare works. I already know.

Before anything goes out for your practice, I review it with HPCSA expectations in mind.

01 / Privacy

POPIA by design.

Consent, retention, processing — written into how I work, not bolted on after launch.
02 / Council

HPCSA awareness.

I know what the guidelines say, and how they are read in practice. I brief, I draft, I review.
03 / Oversight

Human in the loop. Always.

Every piece of work is read by a person before it reaches a patient. Without exception.

Where to start

Start with clarity. Then decide what comes next.

Every engagement begins with a Practice Visibility Review. From there, a defined monthly scope keeps the practice present, findable, and protected. The full tier breakdown lives on the Packages page.

Practice Visibility Review — see where patients lose trust before they contact you.

POPIA, HPCSA, Google Business Profile, local search, patient trust signals, and review presence — reviewed in one report.

Common questions

Things healthcare practitioners actually ask.

These are the five I hear in almost every first call.

Is any of this allowed under HPCSA rules? +
Yes — when it is done thoughtfully. Most clinicians are over-cautious because nobody has sat with them and worked through what is and isn’t permitted. I do that on the first call, and I map it to your specific scope of practice.
How long until I see results? +
Findability work usually moves within six to twelve weeks. Reputation compounds over a year. I tell you which lever is doing what, and I don’t claim credit for things that were already happening.
Do I have to be on social media? +
No. Some of the strongest practices I work with do almost nothing on social. Findability and reputation matter more for most clinical disciplines — and they are quieter to run.
Who actually does the work? +
You work with me directly. NICOLAI is intentionally founder-led. That is how compliance judgment stays consistent and how the voice of the practice stays the voice of the practice. Modern systems do the heavy lifting in the background. Every output is reviewed by a person before it reaches a patient. That person is me.
What do you cost? +
I do not publish fixed package prices because every practice starts from a different place. After the Practice Visibility Review, you receive a written proposal with a defined scope, clear inclusions, optional additions, and any third-party costs separated out.
Do you work with all healthcare practices? +
NICOLAI works with South African private healthcare practices, excluding dental and orthodontic markets.
